So much about the success of a shoot is the thought and planning behind them. I spend a lot of time scoping out great locations — pretty fields and textures all with great lighting. Then, working with the seniors to come up with clothing/accessories that coordinate.
This shoot, however, was a bit different. It was in Katy, Texas — near Houston. One of my sisters lives there so I’ve been fortunate to build up a small clientele in the area. My sister’s been around me enough to know what I look for in good spots, so she’s always on the lookout for them :)) (big kudos to her for ALL her help!). She found a few great fields for me, but we were still needing more. I got there Friday night and shoot was Saturday, so the race was on to find some great spots.
Not only did we find amazing backgrounds and textures, but we had the best subject. Sara is hilarious and photogenic and friendly and beautiful. We had an amazing time. Her mom was with us, my sister came along and a friend of Sara’s (and my sister’s!) family – a big entourage for Miss Sara! And here’s a shout-out to my brother-in-law for watching kids for us — you’re awesome!
Sara, I loved your session and I hope you are as thrilled with these photos as I am. Best of luck at OU! Your awesome attitude and free spirit will take you far in life!
